eico’s ‘scoop’ on the perfect summer ice cream shades

No seaside resort would be worth its salt without a good ice cream to hand, and a child’s birthday without jelly and ice cream? Unthinkable!

Walk into any good ice cream parlour and we’re often spoilt for choice as we marvel at the assortment of colours and flavours before our greedy eyes. These pastel shades have a distinctly retro feel; cream, pale pinks, buttery yellow pistachio and soft blue all lend themselves to traditionally classic country décor offering a rather tempting decorating option, especially for any kitchen. Team with retro kitchen accessories and bar stools and we’re transported to 1950’s glamour..a time when life was truly sweet…

It’s not that we’re obsessed with this cold and creamy treat, but like our favourite ice cream parlours, we sought paint shade perfection from ice cream confection to bring you some mouthwatering hues. Here’s the ‘scoop’ on our finest:

eicó vanilla, apple and bespoke coloursFlavour: Vanilla – a traditional popular choice and a time old favourite.
Paint match: try eicó vanilla e13, a deep creamy off white hue, ideal for any wall and colour combo!

Flavour: Chocolate mint chip – the joys of tasty chocolate with refreshingly cool mint.
Paint match: eicó apple d2. A deeper mint green perfectly complements a dark chocolate shade. Pick chocolate coloured accessories and furniture against fresh mint green.

Flavour: Chocolate. Just pure indulgent chocolate.
Paint match: Go bespoke. Whether you prefer dark or plain, you send a photo or better still, bring your favourite ice cream or choccie bar into the store for us to match with our colour matching service. However, we can’t promise we won’t eat edible examples.

Flavour: Strawberry – A refreshing and popular choice.
Paint match: eicó n22 socialite – this soft pink hue makes a pretty choice for kitchens or children’s bedrooms. Great teamed with clean white shades or cream for a more traditional feel. Combine with pretty pink accessories in both light and dark pink tones.

Flavour: Coffee – not everyone’s cuppa’ jo, but an old classic nevertheless.
Paint match: eicó desert twilight a20 – beiges and browns can look striking if put together well. Be brave and team with orange/red tan accessories and burnished gold lamp bases for a slice of spicy Moroccan heaven.

Flavour: Rum & Raisin – sweet tasting with an alcohol flavoured kick.
Paint match: eicó cranberry cocktail t48 – this is a colour to have fun with. A rich deep hue that works with lots of others. Team with other berry shades but keep flooring and furnishings light. Add velvet accessories or sofas for a truly sumptuous feel.
